A HUMBLE APPEAL TO OUR MUSLIM BROTHERS AND SISTERS

CCML (Le Centre Communautaire Musulman De Longueuil), is a not for profit  registered organization (Registration number 1164163843), Established with a Mission to cultivate a society based on Islamic principles and teachings. We provide knowledge, training and support; our ultimate purpose being to strengthen the spiritual, educational, physical and social life of the local Muslim community.

Institutions such as this will, insha Allah, play an instrumental role in the establishment, propagation and protection of Islam for present and future generations in North America.

We currently occupy a rented space Chemin Chambly Ave. in Longueuil (Québec). With the help of Allah , the determination and dedication of all mumbers of our community and in order to continue serving that same community, it has become absolutely necessary for us to move into a larger facility. A Masjid of Allah, together with a community centre for religious studies and social upliftment, is necessary to serve the needs of both young and old. After a detailed study and consultation among the board mumbers of CCML, we have successfully negotiated an agreement, by the grace of Allah, to purchase a property which will be the future masjid of our community

The overall cost is $ 700,000 .An immediate deposit of $ 350,000 is needed followed by a five-year payment schedule for the remainder of the sum without interest.

The cost and other characteristics of the building:
Located at the intersection of  Breboeuf and St- Foy streets, in Longueuil.
A surface area of 27,000 sq. ft
A separate entrance for women and huge parking
Room for religious ceremonies [marriages and Akika].

Insha Allah we hope to take possession of this property in the few coming months and to establish a Masjid in due form.

The purpose of this letter is to urgently request donations to make this purchase possible, Insha Allah. With your generosity, assistance and the help of Allah we can achieve this goal. Our fundraisers will be calling on you, humbly requesting financial assistance. We pray that all those fortunate brothers and sisters who participate in such endeavours will get their rewards in this world and the hereafter. The prophet said: «  Whoever builds a masjid, seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah shall build a house for him in Paradise. »
